Underneath the surface lurk fears of every kind. Fear of the unknown and fear of the unknowable, fear of mortality and fear of immortality. Fear of infinity and fear of finiteness, fear of the dark and fear of the light. Fear of exposure and fear of inadequacy. Fear of love and fear of rejection. Fear of success and fear of failure.

The mind, dense, quiet. A vast ocean, deep, deep down, silence, fear, but also clarity. How do you penetrate the surface? How do you get below the shallowness when there is so much darkness? Real life experiences, human folly, humans at their worst and at their best. How do you go deeper, how do you get understanding, insight and clarity? A messy process, following different leads, moving in all directions, but always with the express purpose of being that much closer to a sliver of truth in its many disguises, peeling back the facades and images that we cling to with the hope of deceiving ourselves and/or others.
